Advertising Terms & Conditions

General

  • By advertising on this site you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on submission of your advertisement application. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not apply to advertise.
  • Budgerigar.co.uk may change these terms at any time by posting changes online. Please review these terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by Budgerigar.co.uk . Your continued use of advertisements after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.
  • Prior to 13th May 2010, all adverts appeared on all site pages where advertising was available, but Budgerigar.co.uk reserved the right (in these terms and conditions) to introduce a graded advertisement pricing policy based upon the popularity of the pages. On 13th May 2010, having established the relative popularity of all site pages, Budgerigar.co.uk introduced a new graded advertisement pricing policy. This policy provides a graded scale of advertising based not only on the size and type of the advertisement, but also on the advertisement’s placement across a range of pages, graded by Budgerigar.co.uk according to their popularity. Further details are provided below in the section titled “Advertisement Placement”.

Advertisement Content

  • Advertisements do not necessarily have to be budgerigar-related. Budgerigar.co.uk will seriously consider advertisements whose content is outside the remit of this website, but we reserve the right to decline advertisements which we consider inappropriate.

Advertisement Placement

  • The placement of an advertisement on a given page on Budgerigar.co.uk is determined by the “Advertising Package” chosen by the advertiser. Budgerigar.co.uk provides three such packages as follows:
    • Gold – covers: the Home page, Gerald Binks, Breeders’ Directory, any Gallery, Aviaries & Equipment, Links, Breeding, Health, Featured and Contact sections
    • Silver – covers: News, Beginners, Feeding, Profiles, Noticeboard, The Challenge, Be Part of It, Advertising, Letters, Societies and Help sections
    • Bronze – covers: all other pages not listed above

Advertisement Sizes

  • Budgerigar.co.uk offers advertisers a selection of standard web advertisement sizes. Non standard advertisement sizes will not be accepted.

Advertisement Periods

  • Budgerigar.co.uk advertisements are displayed on the site for a period of no less than 12 months.
  • Budgerigar.co.uk will send renewal reminders to advertisers approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the advertisement’s end date.

Advertisement Ordering

  • Advertisers are urged to use the Advertisement Application Form on Budgerigar.co.uk to order advertisements. Alternatively orders may be sent in via email.
  • Advertisement orders should contain:
       
    • Your name, address and contact details
    • Code size of advert(s) required.
    • Confirmation of EITHER use of your own pre-designed electronic advert OR use of the FREE Budgerigar.co.uk advert design service
    • Image (if applicable) for advert – must be EITHER .JPG, .GIF, .BMP or .TIF format for electronic images OR sharp colour photograph for posted images
    • Copy text to appear in advert – word count limited to advertisement code size as appropriate

Advertisement Payments

  • Advertisements must be paid for annually in advance.
  • Payments taken are non-refundable.
  • Payments can be accepted EITHER by credit / debit card (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo) OR by cheque (£ sterling only) payable to “Challenge International-Binks” and posted to:

    For you own security, your Credit Card Number, Expiry Date and Security Number (last three figures on the reverse of your card) must be sent via mail (i.e. posted) or phoned direct. It is unsafe to send such details via e-mail in today’s climate of fraud. All such details will be destroyed by Budgerigar.co.uk after your order as been accepted.

Advertisement Alterations & Cancellations

  • In the event that an advert requires alteration after publication (i.e. change of details such as telephone, address, image etc.), Budgerigar.co.uk reserves the right to charge the advertiser for any extra work involved.
  • To cancel a published advertisement, please advise Budgerigar.co.uk as soon as possible. Budgerigar.co.uk will remove your advertisement as soon as possible. Budgerigar.co.uk can not refund payments for cancelled advertisements.
